Plans were unveiled by Michael Bloomberg for the New York Wheel, the worlds tallest ferris wheel, to be built at the northern shore of Staten Island, overlooking the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor, and the Lower Manhattan skyline.

However, these are still only the plans and in the meantime you can visit the major tourist destinations which include the Empire State Building; Statue of Liberty; Ellis Island; Broadway theatre productions; museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art; green spaces such as Central Park and Washington Square Park; Rockefeller Center; Times Square; the Manhattan Chinatown; luxury shopping along Fifth and Madison Avenues. Special experiences outside the key tourist areas of the city include the Bronx Zoo; Coney Island; Flushing Meadows-Corona Park; and the New York Botanical Garden.
